Shelving and spur systems

Two product lines under one collection: twin-slot wall systems with uprights and brackets, or cut-to-size MFC shelf boards only. Choose the line that matches the install.

Bridgewater Direct sells shelving as two separate made-to-measure lines. One is a complete twin-slot wall system. The other is shelf boards only — cut and edged MFC for alcoves, cupboards and replacement shelves. Base and wall cabinets are a different product and are covered in the vanity and cabinets guide.

Spur systems and shelf boards are both made to measure in Bolton on a 2–4 working days lead time. Fixings are advised on enquiry for your substrate — we do not publish a standard fixing specification. No product warranty is stated for spur uprights or brackets.

What we supply

  • Twin-slot wall-mounted shelving

Made-to-measure wall system with twin-slot steel uprights in a white finish and 18mm MFC shelves. Configure width, height, depth and shelf count. Panels are capped at 2400mm and split automatically for manufacture and handling. Shelf boards are limited to 2750mm maximum length per piece.

  • 18mm MFC shelf boards

Shelf boards only — melamine-faced 18mm MFC, cut to size with selectable edge banding (1 long, 2 long, 1 short, 2 short, or all four). Edging is charged per metre; the configurator defaults to one long edge. Maximum single shelf length 2750mm. Use for alcoves, cupboard interiors, airing cupboards, utility rooms and replacement shelves. Instant on-screen price from a cut list.

    Order shelf boards
  • Full MFC panels

Where you need full sheets or larger panels rather than narrow shelves, order cut-to-size MFC panels instead of the shelf-board SKU.

  • Base and wall cabinets

Carcass storage is a separate configurator. Use EasyCab when you need base, wall, corner or tall units rather than open spur shelves.

Why buy direct from the manufacturer

  • Cut to the opening

Shelf widths and depths are cut in Bolton to the sizes you enter, so alcove and cupboard fills are made once rather than trimmed on site.

  • Two clear product lines

System or boards-only — you are not buying a mixed kit with parts you do not need.

  • Same factory as the washroom package

Shelving can ship with cubicles, IPS and worktops from one manufacturer when the project needs storage as well as the washroom run.

Common questions

Do I need the twin-slot system or just shelf boards?

Order the twin-slot product when you need uprights and brackets as well as shelves. Order shelf boards when bearings, cupboard rails or an existing spur system are already on the wall.

What does the 50kg per shelf figure mean?

Shelf loading of up to 50kg evenly distributed is a general guide based on typical twin-slot systems, not a tested rating. Actual capacity depends on upright spacing, bracket depth, fixings and substrate. Specify for your own application and contact us if you need guidance.

Are shelf boards edged on all sides?

Yes — we can edge all four edges, or any combination of long and short edges. Edging is charged per metre, and the configurator defaults to one long edge. Maximum single shelf length is 2750mm.

What colours are available?

The twin-slot product describes a large range of Fundermax decors for the MFC shelves. Confirm available decors on the product configurator before you lock a scheme.
