1. Where we deliver
We deliver to all UK mainland addresses. Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses on all products.
Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and other offshore locations are available but may carry a surcharge and an extended transit time. If your delivery address falls into one of these areas, we will confirm any surcharge with you before your order goes into production — you will never be charged more without agreeing to it first.
2. Lead times
Almost everything we sell is manufactured to order at our Bolton factory. Lead times below are our typical working-day estimates from order confirmation to delivery, and they are what we plan production around. They are estimates, not guaranteed dates — see section 5.

3. How delivery works
Orders are dispatched from our Bolton factory on a tracked service. You will receive confirmation when your order is dispatched, and you can check progress at any time using your BD order number on our Track Your Order page.
Larger items (cubicle sets, worktops, sheet materials) travel on dedicated or pallet transport and are delivered kerbside. Please make sure someone is available to receive and offload the delivery; for heavy or oversized items we recommend two people. If you have site restrictions — limited access, booking-in requirements, no forklift — tell us when you order so we can plan the delivery correctly.
If a delivery fails because no one is available to receive it or the address is inaccessible, a redelivery charge may apply.
4. Checking your delivery
Please inspect your order on arrival, before signing where practical.
-
Transit damage or shortages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery to sales@bridgewaterdirect.co.uk with photographs and your order number.
-
Incorrect goods must be reported within 5 working days of delivery.
We will repair, replace or refund affected items in line with our Refund Policy and your statutory rights.
5. Delays
Lead times are given in good faith and we hit them on the overwhelming majority of orders. On occasion, material availability, carrier issues or events outside our control may cause delay. Where a delay arises we will tell you as soon as we know and give you a revised date. Time of delivery is not of the essence of the contract, and we are not liable for costs arising from delay — please do not book installers or trades until your order has arrived and been checked.
6. Cancellations and changes
Made-to-order items (cubicles, cut-to-size panels, worktops, IPS units, vanity units, made-to-size legs and any item manufactured to your specification): production begins shortly after order confirmation, so these cannot be cancelled or amended once submitted — including sizes, colours, finishes, cut-outs and quantities. This is permitted under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which exempt goods made to the consumer's specification from the standard cancellation right. Check your specification carefully before ordering; if you're unsure, send us your cut list first and we'll check it free of charge.
Stock items (standard hardware such as hinges, indicator bolts, hooks, brackets and head rails, and standard sample packs): if you are a consumer, you have the right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods and receive a refund, provided the items are unused and in their original condition. To cancel, email sales@bridgewaterdirect.co.uk with your order number. Return carriage for unwanted stock items is at your cost. This right applies to consumers; business-to-business orders are governed by our Terms of Service.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights, including your rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods.
