Trespa TopLab laboratory compact grade laminate, cut to your exact sizes in our Bolton workshop. A specialist 16mm solid-core surface with a black core, it is 100% waterproof, chemical resistant and hygienic. It's the standard choice for laboratory worktops, benching and splashbacks, clinical and healthcare interiors, and school and university science rooms.

Choose your laboratory colour, build your cut list panel by panel, and see a live price before anything goes in your basket. Cutting is charged per panel, and optional CNC edge machining (slight round) is charged per metre.

What is Trespa TopLab laboratory compact laminate?
A specialist solid-core laboratory surface: a dense, 100% waterproof compact laminate with a black core, built for chemical-resistant, hygienic work surfaces in laboratories, clinical areas and science rooms. There is no MDF or chipboard inside, so it will not swell or delaminate when wet.
Where is TopLab used?
Laboratory worktops and benching, fume-cupboard surrounds, splashbacks and wall linings, healthcare and clinical interiors, school and university science rooms, and high-wear furniture components such as table tops and doors.
Is it chemical resistant?
Yes. Laboratory-grade compact is specified where surfaces face regular contact with chemicals and cleaning agents, and it is easy to wipe down and keep hygienic.
Which brand will I receive?

What sheet size and thickness do you cut from?
Panels are cut from 2800 × 1854mm sheets, 16mm thick. Every panel must fit within that sheet — the builder warns you if one is too large.
How is pricing calculated?
You pay for the full sheets your cut list needs (including an optimisation allowance), plus cutting per panel and edge machining per metre. The total updates live as you build your list, and nothing goes in your basket until you choose.
What edge machining options are available?
A slight round (eased) CNC-machined edge on any combination: one or both long edges, one or both short edges, or all four. Choose per panel in the cut list, or select No machining.
Can I order a sample first?

How long does delivery take?
Delivery is free to UK addresses, and orders arrive within 6 working days.
