Sizing, cutting, machining & ordering
What is compact grade laminate?
Compact grade (also called solid-core HPL) is a dense, 100% waterproof sheet with a black core. Unlike standard laminate it contains no MDF or chipboard — it's solid laminate all the way through, making it extremely durable and moisture-proof.
What's the maximum panel size I can order?
Sheet sizes vary by brand: Fundermax 2800×1854mm, Polyrey 2600×2050mm, Pfleiderer 2800×2070mm. Your cut panels must fit within the sheet size of the brand you select — the builder will warn you if any panel is too large.
How is pricing calculated?
Boards are priced per full sheet based on how many sheets your cut list requires (including optimisation allowance). Cutting is charged per linear metre of cut perimeter and machining is charged per linear metre of edge. Live prices update instantly in the builder.
What edge machining options are available?
We offer a slight round (eased edge) on any combination of edges — 1 long, 2 long, 1 short, 2 short, or all four edges. This gives panels a clean, safe finish. Select the option per panel in the cut list.
Can I order a sample first?
Yes — use the "Order sample pack" button to receive a compact grade laminate material piece and colour chart delivered in an envelope, so you can check the colour and surface before committing to a full order.
Which brand should I choose?
All three brands (Fundermax, Polyrey, Pfleiderer) produce high-quality compact grade laminate. The main differences are colour range and sheet size. If you're matching existing panels, check the colour code on the back of the panel or send us a photo.
