Cubicle Hardware: What It Is and How to Match It
Most replacement part enquiries are really identification problems. Here is how to work out what is on the wall before you order anything.

A cubicle is a handful of boards and about eight hardware types. When something breaks, the part is rarely the problem — knowing which of the dozen near-identical versions you are looking at is. Fixing centres, headrail profile and leg thread all vary between manufacturers and between generations of the same system.
This page tells you what to measure and photograph so we can match it. Stock hardware is dispatched in one to two working days from Bolton. Anything we have to make — a replacement door, a pilaster, a panel to match an existing run — follows the normal manufacturing lead time for that product.

Legs and feet
Adjustable pedestal legs set the floor clearance and absorb a falling floor. Cantilever legs for worktops are a separate product: standard versions dispatch within 24 hours.

When a door is beyond repair we manufacture a replacement to the existing size, thickness and cut-out positions, in the closest current decor. Cubicle parts follow a seven working day lead time.

Common questions
Can I retrofit your hardware to another manufacturer's cubicles?
Often yes, but not always. Indicator bolts and coat hooks usually swap if the backset and fixing centres match. Hinges are the hardest, because the door cut-out and fixing pattern differ between systems. Headrail and wall channel are effectively system-specific. Send photographs and measurements and we will tell you honestly whether it will fit.
How do I identify hardware from an old install with no paperwork?
Photograph the part in place on the door, then remove one example and photograph it off. Measure fixing centres, plate size and door thickness. For hinges, note whether the door hangs open or closed when you let it go. That is normally enough for us to match it or offer the nearest current equivalent.
What does SAA mean?
Satin anodised aluminium. It is an aluminium component with an anodised satin finish, used as the standard on commercial cubicle hardware because it wears evenly, resists cleaning chemicals and does not show fingermarks the way polished chrome does. It also keeps bolts, hinges, brackets and headrail visually consistent across a run.
Do you sell single parts or is there a minimum order?
Single parts. Facilities teams buy one bolt or one pair of hinges from us regularly, and stock hardware is dispatched in one to two working days. If you are maintaining a large estate, tell us which components you get through and we will hold those sizes so repeat orders go out the same week.
Can you make a replacement door to match an existing run?
Usually. We need the door size, the thickness, the hinge and bolt cut-out positions, and a photograph of the decor taken in daylight. An exact decor match is not always possible on an older installation, so we will tell you before we cut whether it is a true match or the closest current equivalent.
What are the lead times on legs?
Cubicle pedestal legs are stock hardware, dispatched in one to two working days. Cantilever legs for worktops are a different product: standard versions dispatch within 24 hours and are delivered within five working days, while heavy-duty and standing versions are made to order at ten to fifteen working days.
